Since 2025, China’s lithium-ion battery equipment industry has witnessed a positive trend of rapidly growing orders, with some leading companies already showing early signs of an earnings turnaround. According to industry statistics, in the first half of the year, companies like Lead Intelligent, Hymson, and Yinghe Technology secured new orders—and maintained substantial existing ones—totaling over 30 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 70% to 80%. This robust growth is primarily driven by several key factors: the accelerated pace of solid-state battery commercialization, which has sparked surging demand for innovative equipment such as dry electrode and isostatic pressing technologies; the renewed push by top-tier battery manufacturers to establish overseas production facilities and upgrade their existing capacities, significantly boosting equipment procurement; and, concurrently, the booming overseas demand in the energy storage market, further expanding the market opportunities for equipment suppliers.
From a profitability perspective, the industry’s capital expenditure plans are more aggressive. Leading companies are driving steady improvements in gross margins through technology upgrades and global expansion strategies. For instance, Lead Intelligent’s overseas business boasts a gross margin of 40.27%, significantly higher than its domestic operations; meanwhile, Hymson saw overseas orders account for more than 50% of its first-half revenue, with gross margins in international markets exceeding those in China by 19 percentage points. Additionally, as lithium-ion battery prices stabilize, the industry is experiencing reduced asset impairment losses, further boosting corporate profitability.
Currently, the lithium-ion equipment industry is transitioning from delivering individual process units to offering comprehensive, end-to-end integrated solutions. Technological barriers and strong customer loyalty are now emerging as the key competitive advantages. Driven by both supportive policies and robust market demand, the industry is poised to maintain its growth momentum, injecting fresh momentum into the high-quality development of the entire industrial chain.
